How do I upload my first photos?

The fastest way: just drag photos into the media area. You can also click and select.

Step by step

  1. Open Photos via the sidebar (/dashboard/media)
  2. Drag photos into the upload zone OR click the zone and pick files
  3. Select a gallery from the dropdown (if you've already created any)
  4. Photos upload automatically — a progress bar shows the status
  5. Done — your photos are visible instantly

What happens in the background?

LACOP optimizes your photos automatically:

  • Conversion to WebP (better quality, smaller file size)
  • Resize to max 2000px width (larger originals aren't kept)
  • Thumbnail generation (400px width for faster list view)
  • Title auto-filled with the filename (without extension)

At the end you see how much storage LACOP saved for you (e.g. "27% via WebP").

Supported formats

  • JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)
  • PNG
  • WebP
  • ❌ GIF, SVG, ICO are not supported

Maximum file size

15 MB per photo. If your original is larger, compress it first (e.g. export from Lightroom or Photoshop at lower resolution).

Multiple photos at once

You can drag any number of photos at once — LACOP uploads them one after another and shows total progress.

After upload

Click on a photo to edit title, description, gallery and more. See the articles on change photo title and assign to gallery.
