How do I change a photo title?
The title appears on your public portfolio as a caption and matters for SEO and searchability.
How to do it
- Open Photos (
/dashboard/media) - Click the photo you want to edit
- The edit panel opens
- Change the text in the "Title" field
- Click "Save" at the bottom
- The new title is live immediately
Rules & limits
- Max 200 characters
- Can be empty (then no title is shown)
- HTML is not interpreted — it's shown as plain text
- Emojis work ✨
Tips for good titles
For models
- "Fashion Editorial — Vogue Shoot"
- "Beach Session with @photographername"
- "Backstage Runway Paris 2026"
For photographers
- "Maria — Portrait Studio Light"
- "Lisa's Wedding — First Look"
- "Tobias — Commercial Campaign"
For creatives
- "Brand Identity Coffee Roaster"
- "Illustration Series — Urban Tales"
What's the default?
On upload, the filename is used as title (without extension). For example DSC_4711.jpg becomes DSC_4711. That's rarely pretty — so it's worth customizing titles.
SEO bonus
Good titles help Google find your photos. A title like "Blonde model posing in Paris" is much better for SEO than "DSC_4711". Alt text (for screen readers) also uses the title.
