How do I delete a single photo?

Deleting is permanent — the photo and all associated data are gone. No trash, no recovery.

How to do it

  1. Open Photos (/dashboard/media)
  2. Click the photo
  3. In the edit panel find the "Delete" button (red)
  4. Click it
  5. Confirm in the dialog with "Really delete"
  6. The photo is gone

What gets deleted?

  • The original photo (from storage)
  • The thumbnail
  • Title, description, credit, date — all metadata
  • Gallery assignment
  • The order position

What stays?

  • Your plan limit decreases by 1 (e.g. from 15 to 14)
  • Audit log entry (kept for legal safety)

Safe delete — tips

  • Double-check that you're deleting the right photo
  • Consider if hiding instead of deleting is enough (see hide)
  • For important photos: back up beforehand (from metadata or via file export)

Alternative: hide

If you're unsure — hide the photo instead of deleting. Hidden photos aren't public, but you can show them again anytime.

No undo

LACOP has no undo after delete. If you accidentally deleted:

  1. Check if you still have the photo locally
  2. Re-upload it
  3. Contact support@lacop.app — sometimes we have backups, no guarantee
