How do I delete a single photo?
Deleting is permanent — the photo and all associated data are gone. No trash, no recovery.
How to do it
- Open Photos (
/dashboard/media) - Click the photo
- In the edit panel find the "Delete" button (red)
- Click it
- Confirm in the dialog with "Really delete"
- The photo is gone
What gets deleted?
- The original photo (from storage)
- The thumbnail
- Title, description, credit, date — all metadata
- Gallery assignment
- The order position
What stays?
- Your plan limit decreases by 1 (e.g. from 15 to 14)
- Audit log entry (kept for legal safety)
Safe delete — tips
- Double-check that you're deleting the right photo
- Consider if hiding instead of deleting is enough (see hide)
- For important photos: back up beforehand (from metadata or via file export)
Alternative: hide
If you're unsure — hide the photo instead of deleting. Hidden photos aren't public, but you can show them again anytime.
No undo
LACOP has no undo after delete. If you accidentally deleted:
- Check if you still have the photo locally
- Re-upload it
