How do I delete multiple photos at once?
When you want to delete many photos at once (e.g. a whole old shoot), use bulk select.
How to do it
- Open Photos (
/dashboard/media) - Activate select mode (usually via a checkbox icon at the top)
- Click the photos you want to delete — checkboxes appear
- At the top you see "X photos selected"
- Click "Delete" (trash icon)
- Confirm the dialog
Select all
Use "Select all" to mark all photos in the current view. Combined with the gallery filter you can e.g. delete "all photos of gallery XY" at once.
Same as single delete
- Permanent — no trash
- No undo
- Metadata fully gone
- Plan limit decreases accordingly
How many at once?
Technically unlimited. Recommended: max 50-100 at a time so the browser doesn't slow down.
Confirmation
For multiple photos LACOP always shows a confirmation with the count. Double-read the number — accidentally deleting 50 photos is no fun.
Tip: filter by gallery
To wipe a whole shoot:
- Filter by gallery (e.g. "Summer 2022")
- Now you see only those photos
- Select all
- Delete
After that you can also delete the gallery itself (see gallery management).
Alternative: hide
When uncertain — hide photos instead of deleting. Hiding is reversible, delete is not.
Backup first
Before mass deleting: download the GDPR export in settings. That's a JSON file with all metadata — photos themselves aren't included, but you have a record of what existed.
