How do I hide or show a photo?
· Use the visibility toggle to hide photos from your public portfolio.
How do I hide or show a photo?
You can hide photos without deleting them. Hidden photos stay in your account but aren't visible on your public portfolio.
How to do it
- Open Photos (
/dashboard/media) - Click the photo
- In the edit panel you see an eye icon (visibility toggle)
- Click to hide/show
- Save
Alternatively: In the grid, hidden photos show a crossed-out eye.
What's this useful for?
- Work in progress: You uploaded the photo but want to finish title/description before it goes live
- Temporarily hidden: A specific photo shouldn't show right now (e.g. during an NDA period)
- Alternative versions: You have multiple edits and want to show only one
- Archive: Old photos you don't want to delete but also not show
What exactly happens?
- ✅ Photo stays visible in your dashboard
- ✅ You can keep editing it
- ✅ It still counts towards your plan limit (e.g. the 30 free photos)
- ❌ No longer on your public portfolio
- ❌ Not in galleries publicly either
- ❌ External visitors don't see it anymore
Hide whole galleries
You can also hide whole galleries — see hide gallery. More efficient than hiding photos individually.
Hide multiple photos
Currently you hide each photo individually. Batch actions are planned.
Tip: staging workflow
Many creators work like this:
- Upload photos as hidden
- Calmly add title, description, credit
- When everything fits — flip to visible
That way your portfolio is never unfinished.
