How do I create a new gallery?
Galleries help you group your photos — for example by shoot, style, client or year.
How to do it
- Open Galleries (
/dashboard/categories) via the sidebar - Click "New gallery" (plus icon top right)
- Enter a name (e.g. "Fashion Editorial 2026")
- The slug is generated automatically (URL-safe, e.g. "fashion-editorial-2026")
- Click "Create"
- The gallery appears in your list

If you hit the limit, you can either delete existing galleries or upgrade to Starter/Pro.
What's a slug?
The slug is the URL part of your gallery. If your portfolio is lacop.app/aria-nakamura and your gallery is "Fashion 2026", the URL becomes:
lacop.app/aria-nakamura/fashion-2026
You can customize the slug — it must be URL-safe (lowercase, numbers, hyphens only).
Name tips
Good gallery names:
- "Portrait Studio" — clear and short
- "Wedding 2026" — with year for chronology
- "Maria & Tom" — for specific clients
- "Editorial Vogue Italia" — prestigious
Less good:
- ❌ "Pictures" — too generic
- ❌ "NEW" — loses value over time
- ❌ "Test" — feels unprofessional
