Which authenticator apps are supported?

LACOP uses the TOTP standard (Time-based One-Time Password) — meaning any standard authenticator app works. Here are the most popular.

• 2FA integrated into the password manager
• Auto-fill on desktop

Bitwarden (Premium)

• All platforms
• Free + Premium ($10/year)
• Open source
• 2FA in premium plan

Alternative: hardware keys

Even more secure than apps are hardware security keys:

LACOP currently supports TOTP via apps only, hardware keys are planned.

Can't scan the QR code?

You can also enter the secret manually:

1. During setup LACOP shows the secret key under the QR code
2. In your app pick "Enter manually" or "Enter key"
3. Paste the secret + account name (e.g. "LACOP aria@email.com")
4. Save — the code appears

Multiple apps simultaneously

You can set up the same secret in multiple apps (e.g. Authy + 1Password). That gives you backup.
