How do I change my account email?

· Change your login email in settings with password confirmation.

How do I change my email address?

Your login email is the address you sign in with on LACOP. It's separate from the contact email on your profile.

How to do it

  1. Open Settings (/dashboard/settings)
  2. Find the "Email address" section
  3. You see your current email (non-editable)
  4. Enter the new email
  5. Enter your current password to confirm
  6. Click "Save"

Why password confirmation?

Security — so nobody with access to your screen can spontaneously change your email and take over the account.

What happens next?

  • You get a confirmation email at the new address
  • The old email is replaced, not archived
  • Your next login needs the new email
  • All automated emails (welcome, invoices, etc.) go to the new address from now on

Important before switching

  • Make sure you can access the new email — if not, you're locked out
  • Ensure the new email isn't already on LACOP (someone else) — otherwise error
  • Note your password — you need it for confirmation

Login email vs contact email

  • Login email (in settings): Private, for your sign-in
  • Contact email (in profile): Public, for bookings/inquiries

What if the new email doesn't work?

If you can't log in after the change:

  1. Try the old email (if the change didn't go through)
  2. Use "Forgot password?" with the new email
  3. Write to support@lacop.app with your slug / portfolio name — we check manually

Admin accounts

As an admin you change your email normally — no extra steps.
