How do I write a good bio?
· A good bio is short, honest and tells what makes you unique.
How do I write a good bio?
Your bio appears at the top of your public portfolio — often the first thing visitors read. It decides whether they keep scrolling or bounce.
Where to change your bio
- Open Profile (
/dashboard/profile) - Find the "Bio" field
- Write your text (max 500 characters)
- Save
Rules of a good bio
1. Short and clear
- 2-3 sentences is ideal
- Max 500 chars = ~80-100 words
- No buzzwords like "passionate, creative, dynamic" — everyone says that
2. Who, what, where
- Who are you? Name, role
- What do you do? Specialization
- Where are you? City, countries
3. What makes you unique
- One detail that sets you apart
- An achievement or award (if you have one)
- A style signature of your work

Photographer (bad)
Passionate photographer with an eye for the special and years of experience.

What doesn't belong in the bio
- ❌ Full career chronicle (that's for the about text)
- ❌ Prices / booking rates
- ❌ Long skill lists
- ❌ Clichés and buzzwords
Bio vs about text
- Bio: 2-3 sentences, overview, in header
- About: Long text, story, dedicated section (see edit about text)
Both have their place — write the bio first, then the longer about.
