How do I change my display name?

Your display name is the name shown on your public portfolio and in the app.

How to do it

1. Open Profile (/dashboard/profile) via the sidebar
2. You see "First name" and "Last name" fields
3. Change both as you wish
4. Click "Save" at the bottom

Limits

• Max 100 characters combined (first + last)
• Umlauts and special characters are allowed (e.g. "Müller", "O'Brien")
• Emojis are shown but can look odd in some contexts

What changes automatically?

• Name in your dashboard (greeting, sidebar)
• Name on your public portfolio
• Name in automated emails (invoices, notifications)

What doesn't change?

• Your slug (URL) — e.g. lacop.site/aria-nakamura stays the same even if you rename yourself. You change it separately
• Your email address — unrelated to the name
• Existing invoices — they keep the old name for legal clarity

Artist names / alias

If you use a stage name (e.g. "Aria" instead of "Maria Müller"):

• No problem — LACOP accepts anything
• Think about your agencies and clients — they should know what name you're using on LACOP
• Tip: use the stage name in your profile, and optionally the real name in Stripe settings for invoicing

Changing name often?

Frequent name changes confuse regular visitors and clients. Do it when needed — but not every few weeks.
