How do I change a gallery slug?
The slug is the URL part of your gallery. It determines the public address of the gallery.
Example
- Portfolio URL:
lacop.app/aria-nakamura - Gallery name: "Fashion Editorial 2026"
- Slug:
fashion-editorial-2026 - Full URL:
lacop.app/aria-nakamura/fashion-editorial-2026
How to change it
- Open Galleries (
/dashboard/categories) - Click the pencil icon on the gallery
- You see two fields: Name and Slug
- Change the slug directly
- "Save"
Slug rules
- Only lowercase letters (a-z)
- Digits (0-9)
- Hyphens (
-) to separate - No spaces, no umlauts, no special characters
- Max 60 characters

Bad slugs
- ❌
Fashion 2026(space) - ❌
Fotografie_2026(umlaut, underscore) - ❌

⚠️ Warning: old links break
When you change the slug, old links stop working:
- Links in your Instagram bio
- Links in emails you've sent
- Google search results (takes time to re-index)
- Direct links someone bookmarked
LACOP does not redirect from old to new slug.
When to change slug?
✅ Good reasons:
- Typo in original slug
- Better SEO wording
- Gallery has a new theme
❌ Bad reasons:
- "Looks better" — if the gallery is already linked, the aesthetic gain isn't worth it
Tip: collect links first
Before changing the slug:
- Search your profiles for links to the gallery
- Note where they appear
- Update the links after the slug change
