How do I upgrade my plan?
A plan upgrade is just a few clicks. We work with Stripe for secure payments.
How to do it
- Open Settings (
/dashboard/settings) - Scroll to the "Plan & billing" section
- You see your current plan and available upgrades
- Click the desired plan (Starter / Pro / Premium)
- Choose monthly or yearly (yearly = 2 months saved)
- Click "Upgrade" → you're redirected to Stripe Checkout
- Fill in payment info
- Confirm payment
- You're redirected back to LACOP
- Your new plan is immediately active ✨
Payment methods
Stripe accepts:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- Debit card
- SEPA direct debit (EU, sometimes takes 1-2 business days)
- Apple Pay / Google Pay
- Klarna (in some countries)
- Link (Stripe's 1-click payment)
What happens immediately?
- New plan is active — features available from now
- Invoice is generated — arrives by email
- Upgrade email from LACOP as confirmation
Upgrade from Free
- No issues, no data overwritten
- You get immediate access to all features of the new plan
- You pay pro-rated for the current month
Upgrade between paid plans (e.g. Starter → Pro)
- Pro-rating: Your remaining Starter credit is applied to Pro
- Immediately active — all Pro features unlocked
- Next invoice: Pro price
Yearly billing
Pros:
- 2 months saved (17% off)
- Set once, 1 year peace
- Good for long-term planning
Cons:
- Larger upfront payment
- No refund on early cancellation
Recommendation: Test monthly first — switch to yearly after 3-6 months if satisfied.
Billing address / VAT
At Stripe Checkout you can enter your billing address. For business customers:
- Enter VAT ID (then reverse charge — no VAT for EU business customers outside Austria)
- Private customers pay inclusive of VAT
Need an invoice
After upgrade:
- Invoice by email
- Or download in the Stripe Customer Portal (see find invoices)
Upgrade problems
- Card declined? — try another card or contact bank
- 3D Secure error? — reload browser and try again
- Stripe Checkout doesn't open? — disable popup blocker
- Not redirected after payment? — wait 1-2 minutes, reload page
