How do I cancel my subscription?
No complicated forms, no retention tactics. You can cancel anytime — in 3 clicks.
How to do it
- Open Settings → Plan & billing
- Click "Manage subscription" or "Open Stripe portal"
- You land in the Stripe Customer Portal
- Click "Cancel subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
- Done — you get a confirmation email
What happens then?
- You're NOT immediately downgraded
- Access stays until end of billing period
- At period end you're automatically set to Free
- Your data stays intact (see downgrade article)
Example
You're Pro until the 20th and cancel on the 5th:
- 5th-19th: Pro features stay active
- 20th: Downgrade to Free, no new invoice
Un-cancel
If you change your mind:
- Open Stripe portal again
- Click "Revert cancellation"
- Your subscription continues normally
Only works until end of billing period — after that you'd have to upgrade again.
What stays after cancellation?
✅ Stays
- Your account
- Your photos and galleries (all, but only 30 visible on Free)
- Your profile (bio, social links, etc.)
- Your lacop.site subdomain
⚠️ Gets restricted
- Photos over 30 are automatically hidden
- Galleries over 3 are hidden
- Custom domain is deactivated (if Pro/Premium)
- Custom links are reduced to 0
📦 No data loss
All data stays in the DB. If you upgrade again later, everything is as before.
No refund
From our terms:
- Monthly billing: No prorated refund for the current period
- Yearly billing: No remaining-year credit refunded
- But: You have access to the plan until end of the purchased period
Alternative: downgrade instead of cancel
Instead of cancelling completely you can switch to a cheaper plan:
- Pro (€22) → Starter (€12) — saves €10/month
- Starter (€12) → Free — costs nothing
That way you keep more features than on Free. See downgrade plan.
Delete account completely
If you want all data gone (not just cancel):
- First cancel subscription (important for billing)
- Then Settings → Delete account
- Confirm
This deletes all photos, profile and account. Legal consent is kept for legal reasons.
